Working with Affirmations

Affirmations and Meditations can work beautifully together to help you create the life you desire.

Affirmations are simple, positive statements written in the present tense. Instead of saying, “I hope to become prosperous someday,” you would say, “Abundance surrounds me, and I enjoy it every day.”

Even if you don’t fully believe the affirmation yet, the Universe responds to the intention behind your words and begins to meet you halfway.

One helpful practice is to repeat the phrase over and over in a steady rhythm while visualizing the life you want to create. This kind of visioning is one form of meditation.

I like this definition of meditation: “Opening to the moment with present-state awareness.” It's the act of sitting inside the affirmation, in the NOW. Becoming present with what the affirmation is telling you. It allows you to see the affirmation working in your life.

I keep a journal dedicated to different areas of life, such as prosperity, relationships, and clarity. In it, I collect affirmations that support each subject. When you get into a rhythm with your breath, which is one of the oldest and most effective ways to meditate, you can calmly read, write, or create affirmations from a peaceful state of mind.

For example, I used to say affirmations during my 20-minute drive to work. I would repeat statements like:

“Today, I think clearly and make wise decisions.”

“Love and patience go ahead of me and meet me.”

“I move through this day with a clear mind and make the right decisions.”

When I practiced this consistently, my workday often flowed more easily.

This practice has helped me move through new jobs, life changes, and unfamiliar situations with more ease and confidence.

I work with clients by suggesting specific mantras or affirmations that help them reset their intentions, calm their minds, and align with the life they want to create. I would love to help you realign your intentions with affirmations. Let's discuss.
